Here’s a look at how the Tigers’ affiliates fared Sunday.

TRIPLE-A
INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE – LOUISVILLE 10, TOLEDO 2: Designated hitter Mike Hessman was 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and a double in the Mud Hens’ loss. Hessman now has 417 career minor league homers, which is 15 shy of the American minor league home run mark. Shawn Hill gave up 12 hits and seven runs in 5 2/3 innings while taking the loss for Toledo (66-70), which dropped its third straight.

DOUBLE-A
EASTERN LEAGUE – ERIE 5, READING 3: Right fielder Steven Moya hit a two-run home run as part of a three-run sixth inning that helped the SeaWolves (65-68) grab the lead for good in the win. The homer was the 34th of the season for Moya, who drove in three runs in the victory to give him 101 RBIs on the season. Jeff Ferrell gave up three runs and scattered nine hits in 5 2/3 innings to record the win, while Jose Valdez pitched a scoreless ninth for his 16th save.

SINGLE-A
FLORIDA STATE LEAGUE – DAYTONA 7, LAKELAND 1: Logan Ehlers allowed six run in six innings as the Flying Tigers (61-69) dropped their fifth straight. First baseman James Robbins hit his 17th home run with two outs in the second inning for Lakeland’s only run.

MIDWEST LEAGUE – SOUTH BEND 6, WEST MICHIGAN 3 (11 innings): Zac Reininger gave up three-run homer to South Bend’s Justin Williams with two outs in the 11th as the Whitecaps (80-52, 39-23 second half) dropped the extra-innings contest. Reininger gave up four runs in 2 2/3 innings of relief while suffering the loss. He also blew a save, giving up a run in the ninth that sent the game to extra innings. Jonathan Crawford started for West Michigan and gave up one hit and two runs in six innings while getting the no decision. Right fielder Wynton Bernard had a hit and two RBIs for the Whitecaps.

Bernard broke the West Michigan franchise record for hits in a season with his single Sunday. He now has 159, breaking the old mark of 158 held by Rob Fick and Nick Castellanos.
